The PULSE controller uses a microprocessor to vary the width of a full voltage pulse from the power transistor, the wider the pulse the faster the car goes. This method is called PWM and works at around 8kHz enabling a wide range of ATTACK and CHOKE variation for different motors and tracks. Because the PWM pulse turns the power transistor on or off, it isn't used as a resistor which helps it to run cooler needing only a small heatsink for strap motors. The (FET) transistor used has very little voltage drop so no full power relay is required. The brakes also use a PWM pulse through a FET and give a large variation without the need for a high current brake pot. The lightweight handle has a Parma case, turbo trigger and wiper with a custom, laser cut, plate holding the 22 step wiper board and the three adjustment knobs. These are BRAKE, ATTACK and CHOKE, the choke operates on all but the last segment of the wiper board where there is always full power. The small controller box contains the electronics board and as standard will have an integral 3 pin plug. £100
